Green Peafowl
Green Peafowl (ក្ងោក) is a common resident near permanent water sources in riparian forest, dry deciduous and semi-evergreen forest. Once widespread in Indonesia in the early 20th century, the Green Peafowl is now Endangered due to hunting for food and trade as well as habitat fragmented. Primary region in Mondulkiri but fragmented populations in North Cambodia, North-East Cambodia and the lower river valleys of the Cardamom Mountains.
