This webpage should help give you the information you need to start traveling to Cambodia again. PLEASE NOTE we will aim to update this page and answer your questions as thoroughly as possible. However, we would recommend you always consult your countries embassy.

1) When did Cambodia officially announce the return of tourism?
On November 14th 2021, Prime Minister Hun Sen, has announced that Cambodia is now open to all vaccinated people to enter Cambodia.
“You just need to wait 15-20 minutes for the rapid test results and then you can continue your journey to any place across the entire country with no limitations, however you wish… Cambodia is almost fully vaccinated with nearly 88 per cent of the total population of around 16 million covered. So, there is no quarantine requirement any longer – except for those who have not been vaccinated who still need to do the 14-day quarantine like before… This policy will be applied without discrimination to everyone, whether they are Cambodian people who are living or travelling abroad and returning home or foreign tourists or investors. This applies to everyone equally”

2) What is the current state of COVID-19 in Cambodia?
Cambodia has consistently been one of the most vaccinated countries in the world throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the majority of the population is vaccinated, Cambodia can now open its doors to the world again.
3) How do I travel to Cambodia?
Flights into Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville are available. Land and sea borders remain closed.
4) How do I apply for a tourism visa to Cambodia?
Cambodia E-visa system is now operating again. The T-type tourism visa costs $36 which is valid for 3 months upon application and allows you 30 days in Cambodia. To complete the application you will need:
- Valid passport that is valid for 6 months starting from your arrival date
- Digital passport photo (JPEG or PNG format)
- Valid Mastercard/Visa credit card
Please note that visas take 3 business days to process and the address of a hotel you have booked for your first night in Cambodia.

As of 17th March 2022, Cambodia Visas can also be bought on arrival.
5) What documents do I need to prepare before I travel to Cambodia?
A) Pre-flight PCR Test
There is no requirement for any travellers to Cambodia to have any form of pre-flight COVID-19 test for entry to Cambodia.
Travellers still need to check and meet the requirements of any transit destinations.
B) COVID-19 Insurance
Foreign Travellers are encouraged to to purchase the Forte COVID-19 Insurance, however it is not mandatory.

C) COVID-19 Vaccination Card / Certificate
All fully vaccinated travellers are required to present their vaccination card/certificate in order to be eligible for quarantine free entry.
– Confirmation of complete vaccination status
– Final dose required to have been administered at least 14 days prior to arrival
COVID-19 Vaccination Card / Certificate must state:
• Travellers Name
• Type of Vaccine
• Date of vaccination’s
**NOTE: Must be hard copy (not digital on phone/tablet), if it is a card then make a colour photocopy, if digital then print out in colour.*

7) I want to travel to Cambodia but I am unvaccinated. Am I still free to not quarantine?
All UNVACCINATED foreigners must have either a pre-booked ASQ Hotel or pay a deposit at a designated bank on arrival to cover quarantine related expenses. (Note: Many airlines require travellers to have this in cash).
Deposit Amount (if no pre booked ASQ hotel) = USD$2000
This does not apply to nationals of Cambodia travelling on a Cambodian passport, or foreign passport with K-type (Special) Visa.
This does not apply to passengers with an A-type (Diplomatic) or B-type (Official) Visa.
Nationals of Cambodia travelling on a Cambodian passport, or foreign passport with K-type (Special) Visa can quarantine for free at a Government quarantine facility, or opt for hotel quarantine at their own expense.
General foreigners quarantine expenses will be deducted from the deposit, or paid directly to the hotel if pre-booked.
A (Diplomatic) or B (Official) -type Visa holders can quarantine at an approved residence as arranged by the Embassy or IO, or pre-book their quarantine at one of the ASQ Hotels.

10) I have finished my travels in Cambodia but I now need a COVID-19 PCR Test and Fit-to-fly certificate to leave. Where do I get a COVID-19 PCR Test and Fit-to-fly certificate in Cambodia?
Phnom Penh
Option 1: National Institute of Public Health – NIPH
- Open 7 days – no appointments, walk-in only. Open on all Public Holidays
- 0730-1200hrs/1330-1730hrs
- Cost $130 (PCR Test only) or $150 (PCR Test & Serology IgM Antibody Test)
- Take passport & flight itinerary
- Medical Certificate and lab report are issued the following day, at 1000hrs for those who test in the morning, and at 1500hrs for those who test in the afternoon.
- Medical Certificate is dated the day issued, lab report states date/time sample collected
Option 2: Institut Pasteur du Cambodge
- Open Mon – Sat only. CLOSED Public Holidays
Testing times between 0730 – 0900hrs only. - Cost $80
- Test results available for collection at 0800 hrs the following day.
- You MUST make an appointment via email, and you are required to attach your flight tickets and a copy of your passport bio-page and complete an appointment form.

Option 3: Intercare Medical Center
- Open Mon – Sat only. CLOSED Public Holidays
- Testing times between 0730 – 1130 & 1300 – 1600 only.
- RT-PCR test with certificate USD$125, and RT-PCR test with Fit to Fly certificate USD$130.
- Swab taken between 0730 – 0930, results issued between 1700 – 1800 on the same day.
- Swab taken after 0930, results issued between 1000 – 1200 the following day.
