Congratulations to Tmat Boey Community on being awarded the Ministry of Environment award for the Outstanding Contribution toward the Protection of Landscapes and Protected Areas.
The award was accepted by Doeb Kimorn, the community chief of Tmat Boey Thoeurn Krosang on November 3rd 2020 in a ceremony hosted by Excellency Say Sam Al, Cambodias Minister of Ministry of Environment (MoE).
In 2019, Tmat Boey was also recognised on the international stage at the 2019 Sustainable Top 100 Destination Awards at ITB Berlin and was the 2nd winner of the Best of Ecotourism awards category.
Tmat Boey continues to supports globally important breeding populations of two critically endangered Ibis species: the Giant Ibis – a near-mythical species for all bird-watchers, naturalists and conservationists – and the White-shouldered Ibis.
