Join Sam Veasna Conservation Tours (SVC) on the Giant Ibis Birding Tour: 3 days, 2 night. Departing from Siem Reap, we will travel into the heart of Preah Vihear to Tmat Boey Ecolodge, home of the Giant Ibis and White-shouldered Ibis. The Giant Ibis Birding Tour: 3 days, 2 nights is the perfect opportunity to see Giant Ibis and White-shouldered Ibis. SVC has had a 95% success rate to view these species between December and April.
For this tour, we also give you the option to visit the Bengal Florican Grasslands to see the world's most endangered bustard species. This would require a 5 am start from Siem Reap. Also, we give you the option to visit Preah Vihear Temple on the Cambodian-Thai board on Day 2. Preah Vihear Temple is one of the most spectacular temples outside of Angkor Wat and has only been open to the public for 10 years.

Tmat Boey and Bengal Florican Grassland Package. We will pick you up early to see Bengal Florican before heading to Tmat Boey. Breakfast on Day 1 is included in this package. No Preah Vihear Temple visit.
Tmat Boey, Bengal Florican Grassland and Preah Vihear Temple Package. This package has everything: Bengal Florian, Giant Ibis, White-shouldered Ibis and a day visit to one of Cambodia's most special temples on Day 2.

Tmat Boey Package. This only includes birding at Tmat Boey for Giant Ibis and White-shouldered Ibis. No Bengal Florican Grassland or Preah Vihear Temple visits.
Tmat Boey and Preah Vihear Temple Package. Birding at Tmat Boey for Giant Ibis and White-shouldered Ibis and visiting Preah Vihear Temple on Day 2. No Bengal Florican Grassland visit.
Optional Extra to visit Koh Ker Temple Visit one of the most spectacular temples outside of Angkor Wat on the way back from Tmat Boey Ecolodge on Day 3. This optional extra is $20 per person and can be added to both packages in the booking process.

Things to bring
- Sun hat
- Sun cream
- Appropriate closed-toe shoes. Walking boots are best
- Light clothing covering shoulders and knees- this is especially relevant when visiting temples and religious sites. Clothing should not be bright when birding
- Insect repellent
- Waterproof coat
- Small denominations of money. This is especially relevant when entering Northern Cambodia. $20 is the maximum denomination of money that should be taken
- Binoculars. SVC charge $5 per person per day to use our Swarovski Optik binoculars
- Ear plugs are recommended for multi-day tours. The sound of nature at night in remote areas can be loud
