Ang Trapaeng Thmor Sarus Crane Reserve | Poy Char, Cambodia |
Only 1.5 hours from Siem Reap is the remarkable reservoir and flooded fields of the Ang Trapaeng Thmor Sarus Crane Reserve, known as ATT.
ATT is a vitally important place for Sarus Cranes, the tallest and most elegant of Cambodia’s waterbirds. Between January and the end of March, we can see up to half of Cambodia’s population of these majestic birds as they forage in fields around the man-made reservoir during the dry season. It is one of our favourite places to go birdwatching as there are always so many waterbirds, and there is often something unexpected to be found.
** We also offer a half-day morning option. Visit Half Day Birding in ATT to learn more **
